Gonna be honest here. How are the same people who state that they are feminists and want to empower people, also the same people who dress like this?

What does how they dress have to do with anything?

Isn't it kind of what they are saying as feminists that you shouldn't judge how they are based on what they wear?

Yea but they're dressing like that to attract male viewers. Basically sexually objectifying themselves, something they blame the 'patriarchy' for. So what is it. Is it sexual objectification when women dress like that,or is it sexual empowerment? It can't be both, so which is it.

They are dressing like that because they are in a fashion show for a lingerie brand

And I still await your answer to my question. Is it sexualization to prance around in such revealing clothes, or is it empowerment?

You are telling me that they are dressing like that to attract male viewers and are asking me if that doesn't seem like a double message. If that were the case, yes it would be. But in this context they are dressed like that because they were hired to sell lingerie, so the question is not valid. And besides if they were to dress like this on their everyday life, who says it's to attract anybody at all? They are allowed to dress with whatever makes them feel good and they like, whatever they deem fashionable, without having to be viewed as objects.

So if it's empowerment, then the 'sexualization' argument can not ever be used.

some women feel empowered by clothes that make them feel sexy or are revealing, whereas others are empowered by modest clothes. there isn't one right answer as to what type of dress is best for all women (or men)

don't you want to understand what all those people are telling you or are you to stupid to get it?

I think women have the right to dress how they like, and I understand that some women feel empowered by this, HOWEVER, when you put yourself out there you do not receive freedom from judgement. To many they look like prostitutes and prostitutes are really not the symbol of empowerment.

How can you feel empowered by wearing that shit? It's basically just showing of what you got. Some women are going to judge them and some men will find it attractive. Sorry but I think there is a line between wearing "revealing" clothes and running around like a slut.

Yes, they can be judged and you may thunk they look like prostitutes... But they are not, so what the hell does you thinking that have anything to do with them being feminists and empowering women?
