Lol my friend was just casually charging his android today and the thing was so hot I thought it would catch on fire

I don't get it, I've never had any of my phones to ever overheat. I'm on it all the time, sometimes while charging it..I don't understand.

My mom always told me charging overnight would wear out the battery. Don't know if it's true but I'm not taking the chance
