Kind of a harsh way to teach grammar to a middleschool

Yeah because someone trained to save your life needs to hear you say you're drowning, and not only do they need you to tell them..they're grammar Nazis and will let you die because you don't use the word correctly. Sure...

It's hard to read sarcasm I tried to sound extra stupid for effect..didn't work so well. We really need sarcasm font. Wtf technology, keep up!

I was a lifeguard and believe me the only convo you'll be having is after you have been pulled out of the water and asked if you are ok.

As a trained lifeguard, we're required to listen to them pronounce "drowning" correctly before we save them

They also have to correctly use it in a sentence and spell it out

I've heard you have to identify the root word and origin if you're out deep enough.
