I thought it was more of how much you ate and your activity levels more than what you ate. But I'm not a dietitian

Believe it or not fast food salads have almost the same amount of calories as the bad stuff

It's super easy to make unhealthy stuff cheap. You can pack it full of sugars and salts and freeze it so it'll ship easily and stay fresh for a long time. "Healthy" food is more expensive because it's so fragile and perishable and usually needs to come from closer outlets where prices are generally higher. And it spoils quicker so the higher prices help absorb the cost of spoilage losses. Also, thethirdi is right, it's more about balancing your intake and energy output that contributes to obesity than eating "the right foods"

One veggie vs a lot of veggies. It's easy to see why one's cheaper.

Well maybe if people in America actually got a job, they could afford the salad.

A salad for a family of 4 (Each person or kid) will cost around $36, That's a salad, not a whole meal.

It was a joke on how lazy we are. I can't afford even one salad, I work at a fucking dying food cart.
