I saw this documentary. Literally the soldiers just stare at each other over the friggin parallel. All. Fucking. Day.

Someone please explain me more about this. I understand the north and South Korea conflict but not the context of this photo

If they cross over to the North, even their comrades can't save them or else it'll be seen as an act to start something
