I honestly don't get why we even use Latin. The language was dead by 1000 AD and only spoken or written within the Church. It wasn't even that complex of a language compared to Greek. It just seems like an odd choice to me

A dead language is a good language. If no country speaks it, no-one will disagree over why its one sides for scientific names.

most languages have concepts that no other language has. so when we lose a language, we are not only losing words, we are losing concepts. it's the reason that there are words and tenses in some languages that don't directly translate to others

If someone asks you to stop you should, they don't know the terminology like you so all you're doing is confusing them, and coming off as pretentious
