Okay, I can explain the last one! It happens on peninsulas. They heat up faster than the mainland, so the water evaporates more. But then cold fronts are coming in from both sides as well as it remains low to the ground, to it forces the hot evaporated water to rise and condense. But then there's still the pressure from each side, so it's forced to roll over and create this sausage-like clouds. It's called a morning glory and you can do loops on a hang glider up there because of the wind speeds. I may have gotten a little bit of the science messed up, but it's what I remember.
