Wait, but if she asked then she probably didn't know the answers either. Why didn't she just explain to her friend if she knew the questions because they were considered "borderline stupid?" It seems like that would have been much easier. What if it was really for both of them?

I think she means like if a teacher said Christopher Columbus founded a north America, the girl would ask questions like "what's the proof it was him?" "Hiw do we know it wasn't some other guy that beat him to the punch?"
