The problem here is not that we value more that which we do not need (not that that isn't a problem, just not the one that is best highlighted by this breakdown), but rather the way wealth is distributed. For most of human history, the people who did the farming were not primarily the ones who gained wealth from the farming being done. And this has not changed much.
I think you took my comment made in jest too seriously, this is a serious problem it however stems from farming while being quite complicated is viewed sort of as "menial" unskilled labor. But going back to my original comment, I would rather laugh than cry
