I don't believe in talent either. My reasoning as to why someone might be better at something their first time than someone else is because even if they don't know it, they might have been exercising similar movements while doing something else. For example a gamer may be better at catching a ball as they have been training their capacity to follow an object and act accordingly. Does that make sense?
I get this a lot with cello. I practice intensely everyday and I have an amazing teacher, and after plenty of accomplishments, people just say they wish they were as talented as me.
I believe in talent. One of my friends is good at piano, she can play 8 long complicated songs by memory flawlessly without looking at the keys. Her and i attended the same lessons at the same time and both practiced an hour each day. I still at this point can only play one song good and its a struggle.
