Hey, guess what? Some hatred is good. You're allowed to hate the people who wish to do you harm, you're allowed to hate the people who oppress you. Telling someone they're just as bad as the people hurting them because they hate them is such a disgusting and toxic mentality.
Last thing first: if we simply open our borders to all comers THAT benefits ISIS, since they can simply walk in along with everyone else. And they have. Going back to Trump, he does not want to bar refugees, or anyone. He wants to be able to weed out the terrorists from the good folk. Currently no one can agree on a way to vet these people coming in, so Trump's proposal is to stop letting them in just until we come up with a plan to figure out who they are.
@celticrose I was referring to myself, as @kurukyruguy stated that I need to be disapproved of. My philosophy is that hate is hate, no matter at whom it is directed. Hating someone because they hate you is no different than them hating you because you hate them. There is nothing wrong with dislike or disapproval of someone or something with which you disagree, but hatred hurts you too. A hater is a hater and hatred is a cancer upon us all.
Intentions do not change actions. Even if he only wishes to weed out the terrorists, the ramifications still remain. Hate is hate, and hate is bad, but when it comes to hate, it cannot be tolerated, or it grows like a filthy weed.
Kurukuruguy, do you understand how the United States government works? The office of President doesn't have unlimited power, regardless of how it might seem. Laws must be passed by Congress, and confirmed as Constitutional by the Supreme Court. The President does have Executive Orders, but they have a relatively limited scope, and while the President is the Commander in Chief of the US military, the military can only be deployed for 30(?) days before requiring Congressional approval. Lastly if the President is found to be abusing the powers given to him, he can be impeached by Congress and the Supreme Court.
So, in conclusion, even if Trump wants to ban Muslims and Mexicans, he needs congressional approval to do so. Therefore, if Muslims and Mexicans DO get banned, it means that the US government already wanted them banned anyways.
@chakun:
The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952;
"Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by president. Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, the president may, by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate."
I posted the original tweet with that question as the title a few hours ago because I literally could not believe what I was seeing when I first read the damn thing. I was sitting in my living room and just shouted "WHAT THE FUCK YOU DUMBASS" My 70 year old mother asked "What did Trump say now?"

He's always looking for ways to jerk himself off. There is nothing but emptiness in his words. He does not truly care that there was a shooting. He only wants to make himself look better.
TEMPORARILY halting additional Muslims from legally entering the country until we can find a way to vet them is only part of Trump's proposal, not his entire plan. For the most part, these terrorists are being trained/brainwashed in other parts of the world, not their own East Village apartments. Furthermore, the radical leaders who put these plans together, and the imams who preach nothing but hate usually come here from another country. So yes people, trying to figure out if newcomers are potential terrorists IS RELEVANT.
it sounds like youre not knowledgable on the immigration process, especially for those coming from war torn areas. you really should educate yourself because to someone like men who bothers to inform themselves, i just shake my head at your ignorance and racism. i dont know what unauthenticated site youre getting your misinformation or if youre just easily swayed by pretty words wrapped in exactly what you want to hear, but the department of immigrations policies towards vetting immigrants/refugees is actually quite extwnsive, the process taking over 18mo. the vast majority are not even single young adult males. moatly seniors, women, children and families.
Yes, in fact, we can ban a religion from entering our country. It's our country, we could ban anyone we wish. We already have the laws, and have done it before.
The sticking point is that we would be relying on their word whether they are Muslim or not and people, especially bad people like we would be trying to exclude, lie.
However, Trump's proposal was not to temporarily ban Muslims, it was to temporarily ban people from Muslim countries, which would be a little easier to ascertain. And his proposal, I'll say again, was to do so TEMPORARILY, and only until we figure out how to better check them out.
Btw your homophobic addition to your Trumpophobia makes your point much more valid.
I'm lying. Your hateful anti-Trump rant and your homophobia do not help whatever incoherent thoughts you have.
One of the founding laws of The United States is Freedom of Religion. It is against the Constitution to deny anyone rights because of their religion. To do so, even temporarily, literally goes against every thing this country was founded on.
No. Not exactly. The United States Constitution says that the government cannot make us observe a particular religion, and cannot prevent us from observing the religion of our choice. There is nothing in there about excluding entry to non-Americans based on religion or any other criteria. In fact, the government has the right to say who can and who cannot come here and when. In fact we banned EVERYONE from immigrating from the 30's to the 60's.
And furthermore, our Constitution is for our citizens, not the world. Technically we could do whatever we wanted to non-Americans and it would be constitutional.
@celticrose here are the relevant passages from the United States Constitution:
Article 1, section 9; "The Migration or Importation of such Persons as any of the States now existing shall think proper to admit, shall not be prohibited by the Congress prior to the Year one thousand eight hundred and eight, but a Tax or duty may be imposed on such Importation, not exceeding ten dollars for each Person."
Amendment 1: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
And from US law:
The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, written and passed by Democrat-controlled Congress and signed into law by a Democrat president. (Truman)
This law was used in 1979 by Democrat president Carter to exclude all Iranians, and we even rounded up and deported many already here.
My main question is why so many fighting age men are fleeing to Europe and America, instead of fighting for their homes. Why are they letting their women fight in their stead?
People are radicalized by 'refugees' sometimes.
It's how terror groups get local support. They hide with the fleeing victims and radicalize whoever they can.
No @rwby_rose, he doesn't. He has only suggested TEMPORARILY stopping them until we can find a way to determine exactly who they are and if they might have radical ties. He never said he'd ban them permanently. Currently we simply open our borders and then wring our hands when something bad happens. He has merely suggested we need to do more to prevent this.
And btw, we have done this in the past, and already have such laws. This is not simply Trump's hatred or stupidity.
Is it really that stupid though? A frind of mine was getting some mail stolen, so he set up a baby monitor to go off whenever his mailbox was opened. It goes off and lo and behold it was some FOB Muslim immigrants. He calls the police because stealing mail is a Federal offense, and holds them at gunpoint so they don't run away because God Bless America. The police show up and it turns out that they can't be arrested because in their country they don't track people, so there's no way to track them in our country.
@chakun that is exactly why Trump suggested a moratorium on immigrants from Muslim countries. You are making my point.
Do you really think that we cannot figure out who they are so why bother even trying?????????????
