Why would a knife help? I'm not gonna cut off my hand just to get the bracelet off! I'll wait 3-4 weeks for it to wither and decay like everybody else.
Maybe it's distrusting kids conveying the info...or that homework is so very important we are going to spend much money and make these children wear these bracelets to ensure they do it?
kay68's points hit closer.
It's a blatent display of distrust. I get that kids are gonna lie, but not giving parents a choice but to hover over their kid's shoulders just feels wrong.

I can maybe see it for like kids under seven maybe. Simply because si much goes on and they aren't used to needing to remember....but I mean, it seems excessive. I feel most parents check the kids back packs and folders...cause there's usually a homework folder. I'm not really a fan of the bracelets either though
I agree it is a blatant display of mistrust... but having fought that battle, I can see where someone would reach that tipping point with a child who lies about having homework.
Agreed. My first thought was that this kid must not be doing their homework and then lying about having homework to their parents. Also, as a teacher I would totally do this.
Teacher here, I use these with my kids but with good things as a brag bracelet or as a bumped head warning for parents who I don't see when the child leaves
I just don't. Can someone help me figure out why?

It's gotta be all or nothing.
