There could be donation events or funded programs to give them away maybe. And I wonder if they could be shared and the filter still last as long.

I feel like if you invent something like that then you have a moral duty to give it to the world. Maybe you can sell it to survivalists but maybe release the patents so it can be made available to those who truly need it.
I suppose the real litmus test is how much water they drink in a year. And I suppose you don't understand what I'm saying, guest. I'm saying water prices are extreme all over. Especially considering that water is something that everything needs to live.
To the OP: do you understand what "free" means. It's impossible to make it free. What you are asking for is that someone other than the end user pay for it. There is a VERY important distinction here. Free colege and free healthcare do not exsist in any country either.
