Be careful not to spill it though, as it won't stop until the beaker is empty. (That's what the guy in the video did at the end)

It only does that if the poly(ethylene oxide) is high enough molecular weight (long enough chains), and if the solution is concentrated enough. Lower molecular weight poly(ethylene oxide) will act like a perfectly normal liquid, as will a dilute solution of even high molecular weight material.
