Yea, the only place where not only made up bullshit like that is used as proof that women claiming they are facing oppression are the real problem, but, even worse, there's soo many people who totally want this story to be true, cause it'd fit so comfortably in their world.
I'm actually laughing at how anyone could believe this story is real. There's a great article on the frisky, the writer actually took his time to reach out to some administrators in notable liberal-arts colleges in Oregon and none of them have ever heard of this incident or anything resembling it. Even though this article was written by a Harvard Proffessor, it was written in a forum, not a reliable paper, meaning she had no citations or actual evidence.
Also, a quick look on the internet shows no actual news stories about the student, only people responding to Janet Halley's article. If this were a real case, there would be a massive lawsuit.
It's not simply to bash women, it's to "prove" the point that mentioning injustice is actually as corroding and divisive to society as the injustice itself. Or even worse, as the revanchist narrative today states that racism and most kinds of equality are "over" and insisting they aren't, does more damage than the few, minor cases that are still left. Quite popular pov on this site, too. Having privileges questioned sure feels like a loss for many.
So that has to do with a school issue. One example of a school over reacting is not indicative of an entire culture. Rape is also not a "women's issue". Sexual violence and the difficulty prosecuting it is a problem for both genders.
The numbers of women raped by men and the number of men raped by women. Also the number of women getting raped in total vs. the number of men raped in total.
Well definitely women are statistically more likely, but it's like birth control. It's not a "woman's" issue. It's an everyone issue and we should all be concerned about.
Whether or not it's true, the irony is that sexual abuse on college campuses often goes unreported and even worse the administration and police don't do anything about it. Some even go as far to defend athletes and professors who have done terrible things. One in 5 women experience sexual abuse.
funsubstanceuser: "The numbers of women raped by men and the number of men raped by women."
You completely neglect the number of men raped by men. But I guess I don't look at it as a man versus woman issue, I look at it is a good versus evil issue.
We already have equality in the first world, only dumbass feminazis still complain.
However, the fact that you just used a fake article to prove a nonexistent point shows that you're no better than them. What are you, a MGTOW?
Fsuser, meninist is a satire account on Twitter made to parody radical feminists. MGTOW is a group literally surrounded on "men going their own way",which I have no problem with, but sooo many mgtow men are sexist towards women and view them as the enemy. So don't use meninist as an insult, use mgtow like that guest did.
I don't think I need advice (or orders) when it comes to insulting people. I will use the word "meninist" as long as people use the word "feminazi". I think it's a way better insult than mgtow and it always works like a charm. Thanks for your concern though.
Seriously, I know how that started blah blah blah. But just search twitter for that hashtag, there's soo many truly declared and convinced meninists out there, it 's actually sad. Its like Al Bundy: he's a parody and still there are so too many men out there who really think of him as a role model.
Put a lot of things in perspective for me
