This is wrong. You will always want to park the car so that is can drive directly out, without backing. An empty parking lot is filled up by driving each car over the first empty lot ant parking it with the front forwards. The rest of the cars are backed into the slots that are otherwise blocked by the other cars. A well managed parking lot is identified by there being no pair of slots occupied until that is necessary, and by every car "pointing" outwards. If not, there has been an unnecessary amount of Risk taken and time wasted by having to do a lot of unnecessary backing.
