Actually, I haven't completed the pokedex, and I have indeed shiny hunted masuda method. Just not high IVs of course

Eh, I don't think I need the shiny charm that much for masuda. I've also hunted in the friend safari (so far to no avail), and I've gotten a shiny froakie and gastly by masuda. I'm working on snorunt right now

I give him the focus sash, swords dance, baton pass, and dig, then baton pass him onto Mega Metagross, but it's not exactly foolproof.

Nah bro, you use protect turn 1 so you get +1 speed, Swords Dance next turn for +2 speed and attack, while hanging on with the focus sash, and then protect once more for +3 speed, and then you baton pass all of that to something else.
I always pass to a Mega rayquaza (bc I'm a dick), but I may want to change that to an arceus soon
