more like fuck off babustyles. if this kid has his nose in his phone every second of every day, he has a problem. using your phone to avoid a relative and using your phone when there's nothing else to do are two different things.
No, actually I agree. My two cousins both have access to several electronics and are constantly on them. During lunch, at a restaurant, when your trying to talk to them, walking down the street. They throw a fit if you take them away. I know it's probably a combination of electronics and parenting, but they shouldn't be so dependent of their devices.
Well it's their parents' problem for not educating them, not the kids. I mean, as a kid if I had had unlimited technology I'd have been the same.

True, but I do think it makes it harder on everyone involved. And don't forget, the parents can be just as easily draw in. I think there should be some for of commonly know and used phone/electronics manners guide
I would think anyone who didn't grow up in the 2000s would appreciate technology more than we do. Everyone now has a device in their pockets the size of a chalkboard eraser at the biggest that can tell you anything you wanna know at a moments notice through the Internet, call or send a message to a friend instantly, do math for you, split a tip equally, give you directions, take pictures, play music, play games, watch movies, and now catch goddamn Pokemon, and yet people HATE it. There's a good reason kids are on their phones a lot, it's because phones are fucking awesome.
If you're really that worried about it though, I would just suggest not getting them a phone or getting them a basic call/text flip phone. Seems like kind of a non-issue.
