Yeah they kinda did do something wrong; they didn't dump Symbian soon enough, and when they did they chose Windows instead of Android.
Nokia went with the Windows OS in 2011, and ultimately sold their mobile phone business to Microsoft in 2014.
Nokia owns Alcatel though so they've got that going for them, which is nice.
The Nokia nameplate will return this year with an Android OS, but manufactured by HMD global.
