But there is a difference, Ray Ban uses glass lenses that are clearer and better for photosensitive eyes. Oakley uses high impact polycarbonate. Same parent company does not mean same quality (Lexus/Toyota or Volkswagen/Porsche). General Mills owns several cereal brands, it doesn't make them all the same. She's right in that costs are affected though, some are higher and some are lower (sometimes R&D costs can be shared by brands, sometimes a lack of competition can be exploited for profit). Not every company is evil.
