I think this picture is not about not being responsible enough, but about wanting a cue puppy then getting rid of it when he/she grows up. If you are well aware that you will have to take care of a living being that will not remain a puppy for years, you are already a waaaaaay better person than the "I will buy a cute lil' puppy but I do not want a huge dog in my house'" kind.
Also, be confident: one day, you will know you are ready for a dog, and he/she will become your best friend :)
This is what my parents do with my giant pits. My last dog died and my mom was all over dramatic like "OH GOD IM SO SAD I NEED A DOG OR I WILL BE SO DEPRESSED" and we got dogs, and she keeps them in cages. It pisses me off so much, but I'm helpless and why would MY MOM care about my opinion:/
If you have a back yard buy a doggy door make a barrier with the cage so they can go in and out but they can always sleep in their cage. I do that with mine so we don't lock them up and deal with taking them out at night.
***note to future dog owners
Dogs bark and chew on a lot of stuff so expect ruined furniture, hair everywhere, barking in the middle of the night, probably dead rodents, high vet bills, get it spayed or nurtured to prevent more doggies being born.
well I have an akita and we have to put it in a crate whenever like there is a bonfire, or anyone is over, even if the neighbors kids are out because he is aggressive as crap
Do they approach the dog straight forward? They get aggressive when randomshe approach them so you have to let the dog approach you, sniff, and never put your hand where it can't see it.
Also, be confident: one day, you will know you are ready for a dog, and he/she will become your best friend :)
