Cats clean themselves...unless your cat doesn't want to clean himself... but maybe leave home be, you might get away with having one less chore

If they get muddy or get fleas yiu have to give them baths

My cat once managed to get stuck in the attic, so we had to give her a bath to clean the insulation off of her.
