You don't know about the elf on the shelf? Basically it's how you make children behave during Christmas time. You put the elf somewhere and tell the kid it's watching them so it can report to Santa. Then,you move it nightly so it'll make the kid behave so they get presents. It works for most kids,but some remain assholes regardless of whether the elf is there.

You also move it somewhere else every night so they find it the next day. And If the kids touch it they are automatically on the "naughty list"
