because depression is cool now, just like drugs and fluidgender. if you are not a genderfluid non-binary wolf-kin that smokes 5 joints a day and have sever depression, how are you expected to have any friends?

that is what i'm saying. we are celebrating things we shouldn't. sorry, i was tired and a little rant-ty last night, but i still stand by it. we are celebrating mental illness and drug addiction like it is cool. we have went over the edge lately. in the last 2-3 years people have degraded to the point where it is cool to be damaged. it is cool to be weak. people are striving to be lesser of people rather than stronger people.

Yeah I have been wondering this myself. When did joking about killing yourself because of first world problems become cool? Like, not coming from a defensive place, just honestly wondering.

Some do it to kind of lighten their situation a little, others do it as kind of a way to let people know they need help, and others do it for the attention. Unfortunately it seems that the attention seekers have been he most prominent therefore giving everyone who legitimately struggles with depression (me included) a bad name. Sadly the people who most need the help, usually are the ones not telling anybody though......

the ones who need the help are usually the quietest. they suffer in silence. the ones who talk about it just want attention. now, this isn't always the case, and you DO need to pay attention. though most are just looking for attention because they don't seem to get it by positive means. shou, try taking a b-12 supplement. i was suffering from sever depression, i had to get blood work and found i have a b-12 deficiency, after a couple weeks the depression went away. apparently depression is a side effect. it is still on and off, but i am better than i was

Thanks for the advice @drazil; maybe I'll see if I can try that. Either way, I'm glad it worked out for you!!

hope it works for you too. the body does weird things when little stuff is thrown off.

maybe instead of calling an entire generation "attention seekers" and all that, we can try and figure out whats wrong?

They wouldn't shut up about how special and wonderful we are. Then reality showed us that most of us are average and mediocre at best.
