Ahh, the bard, always the underrated party member.
Speaking of which, had a D&D session yesterday where the bard got a natural 20 on a persuasion check, played the Seinfeld theme and convinced a goblin to stop attacking the party
He also inspired my barbarian by playing Pomp and Circumstance on a recorder using his nose while slowly getting faster
I've been thinking about trying out d&d, and the class I want to be is bard since it would be fun

It's good fun, very in-depth but you get the hang of it
I use this website called roll20.net, it acts as a visual representation as well as handy features like dice rolls, character sheets, etc.
You can make a group with friends or search for one with randoms
If you're interested, give it a try
I have heard if roll20. This may be a dumb question, but what exactly does the bard do? I assume it's play songs to give boosts to other party members, but I could be wrong...
Yeah. They do musical things and their songs carry power. Usually also good spy training.
As a side note, my favourite DM ever made a custom class for my friend - a hippo-centaur. Friend decided he wanted to make it a rogue.

So now Henry the Hippotaur is the best rogue we have.
