As long as I want. Even in chlorinated pools I swim with my eyes open. Yeah it stings a bit but it's nothing unbearable.

i havent been able to try it in so long, can't afford to go to a nice hotel with a swimming pool. Work schedule too tight to go the beach. I just remember being scared of even taking small dip without my goggles. Childhood memories :)

Opening your eyes in seawater doesn't really been that much. I think pools actually make my eyes burn more.
