Trump's offending tweets:
"Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk - no action or results. Sad!"
And:
"Congressman John Lewis should finally focus on the burning and crime infested inner-cities of the U.S. I can use all the help I can get!"
Yes that was one hell of a racist attack on a poor defenseless hero who has never done anything to deserve such treatment.
Oh wait, didn't Lewis attack Trump's legitimacy as elected president on national television first?
Stop spreading lies and hate.
If any of you actually knew who John Lewis is or all the ACTION he has done for the US you would realize why that tweet was embarrassingly ignorant. Trump is an embarrassment.
Lewis was cool in the 60's, but now he's only starting shit because the Dems lost.
He acted similarly when Bush was elected.
His dissent is only driving more wedges between Americans.
Seems like Lewis is pretty embarssing to me.
And either YOU don't know who he is or you're just another hater.
John Lewis' ONLY claim to fame is that he was beaten in Selma. You know what? So were a lot of other blacks that no one seems to care about.
And can you possibly guess who beat him?
DEMOCRATS!
No one appears to be making a huge deal out of it my dear. If you post a political topic it's going to have discussions. Personally I enjoy a spirited debate and I don't get mad, even when the other person is a damn Democrat and completely wrong and dumb as a doorknob!!!
Well yeah, kinda I guess but I usually mean it in fun. Sometimes lefties just refuse to accept a the possibility of an alternate view and get pissy, which I'll admit I don't take kindly to. And yes, I'll admit there are those types on my side of the aisle too. I don't like closed minded righties either. I'm all about open mindedness and all that horse puckey when it's possible to have a civil debate, but too often it seems impossible to stay civil. Also it's difficult to convey the subtleties of human communication in chats; often I'm just trolling or teasing but maybe it doesn't come through.
I'll try to behave. ;-)
Sounds good but who represents "the people" in your scenario? Let's face it, politicians run the politics. "The people" do not sit in the mayor's office, the state house, the senate, or the White House. Sometimes it may come down to choosing the least worst candidate, but if you do not choose your leaders they will be chosen for you.

And I'll admit that maybe i was being too nitpicky.
Water under the bridge?
