Apple is not the messiah. That said, just because something is overhyped doesn't mean it's bad, even if your infinite money machine doesn't cure cancer like the ads it's still an infinite money machine and I'd take that. Secondly this lists a bunch of older products with similar ideas, but fails to show a product with all those ideas in one package. Screws and lumber and engines existed long before the airplane. Those were other people's ideas and someone else combined them. Innovation is largely combining and putting your take on existing things or finding new ways to use them. Lastly- Business is a contest and the big names don't get there by being polite or even sane. They are sore losers and do not want you to succeed if that means they may fail. This is normal for companies to go after each other frivolously. It's about tying up the other one or distracting them or gaining press to further your goals and hold them back. Android was an obvious threat to the iPhone monopoly.
As a person who likes Apple it is rather disappointing to see that they aren't as innovative as i have been led to believe. That being said, Apple was able to incorporate all these designs into one device that is more user friendly than its predecessors. Apple may have not been the first to make something, but they were the first to make it usable, functioning and beautiful. Say what you like about them but they make damn good looking products.
User friendly is a talking point apple brainwashed you with,.. lmao! Just to let you know a infant can operate a android no problem. So user friendly goes out the window, usable. Eeeehhhh. Yes it will make a call or send a text ...beautiful negative
Well this may be invalid, but just because something was released before another, doesn't necessarily mean the latter was blatantly copying the earlier one.
Take for example Overwatch and Paladins. A majority of people though Paladins was a complete copy of Overwatch, similar characters and abilities etc. Except Paladins was in developement for much longer than Overwatch (I think 7 years or something? Also TItans doesn't count as Overwatch fyi). So both games had similar concepts for an idea, one just released before the other, and especially when the one is more popular than the latter, there is a lot of unnecessary backlash.
Basically, first doesn't mean that they created, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
