No, if we're doing it right, we're traching them to be paitent, curtious and understanding so they become functioning learning adults. Part of that is learning to be quiet when it's appropriate to do so but that hardly means anyone wants them to spend the reat of theor lives silent. There's nothing wrong with that Neil.

Sorry this is totally unrelated to the post. My son has a trach and my phone is always autocorrecting it to teach, and I just thought it was funny that you meant teaching but it says traching. We like to say we are traching it one day at a time.
