A drug is any substance which is somehow introduced into the body (doesn't matter how, smoking, drinking, etc.) that causes a physiological change and is not used as a nutrient source. Being a plant certainly does not preclude it from being a drug. Florists grow, maintain, and sell flowers, ergo you are not a florist. Wrong on all counts.

Thank you, I really wanted to explain that but my exhausted ass would rather eat cookies and read Dan and Phil's book than look up definitions. I applaud your dedication.

I've had to explain that so many times with the medical marijuana movement people. And about caffeine, cigarettes, alcohol (which still has 7cal/g, but is nutritionally devoid), etc. I'm tired of blatant misinformation being passed off as clever.

So, if he sold cut marijuana plants in arrangements, would that qualify him to be a florist?

I guess if he sold the flower parts, an argument could be made. Still, though, there are flowers that aren't part of plants used as drugs which are illegal to sell.

And actually marijuana is cannabis flowers. If it was leaves and stuff, it'd be called schwag. And what flowers would not be parts of plants?

A certain kind of high grade hashish is called "pollen" in many european countries, which is of course botanically incorrect, as it's not coming from the male flowers..
