Turkish delight is disgusting.
It looked so good in the movie so I was disappointed when I tried it

They're all coated in a mix of powdered sugar and starch

This one was home made, and they coated it in flour

Then they made it wrong.
@releasethekraken
is right, the rose ones are the best. What colour was the one you ate? Was it yellow or pink?

Have you tried the Turkish delight you can get from Iceland? It's only £1 and isn't bad at all

Most Greeks prefer the rose ones with the powdered sugar, so maybe you were unlucky and she made them differently

I didn't even realize this was a Narnia reference until you said Turkish Delight. Now I feel like I need to reread The Magician's Nephew
