I don't think wearing women's clothing makes you brave. In fact, this little "boredom experiment" just makes women's appearances in public a joke.

I TOTALLY get that and kind of (reluctantly . . . ) have to agree with you. But I think my problem is that this boy didn't actually DO anything. He didn't stand up for anything. He didn't make the world any better. So why brave? He didn't really challenge societal ideals. In fact, he reinforced them by wearing a school-inappropriate dress and treating wearing women's clothing as a joke. Based on the pics, it really doesn't seem like he's the type of boy who gets picked on or bullied. So . . . okay, sure, amusing and a cool story, but I really don't think this kid is brave. Confident, yes. Cocky, probably. But not brave.
