Oh, don't worry. His actual gf is much better, but also much more ruthless. Senjougahara's name fits, for loving her is like living on a battlefield.

The Monogatari series, beginning with Bakemonogatari.

Technically it starts with the kizumonogatari movies cause the whole thing is set around the events surrounding the aftermath of what happened in those movies but whether you want to watch in chronological order or order of release is up to you
