Yup. They also use the fear tactic where if you don't believe in god, you're going to hell.

Some do, my church never did thank god. It wasn't until we were older that they taught us more in depth about Hell but by then we had matured enough that it didn't like scare the shit out of us.

I do fear God, in the same way one fears their parents. A respectable fear. I love God, and I know God loves me. But I also know that he is all powerful, and I respectfully fear him.
