I think is wrong people complain on social media like they would vent to thwir friends and think no one would see it. It's dumb really so there you go. You got fired :/

While I do agree if he said he wanted to quit and got fired, he got what he wished for, you should be able to vent in your personal time and not get in trouble for it with your job. If they were doing stuff on company time that's understandable but you shouldn't lose your livelyhood for what you say in your free time.

Yeah but people don't realize that writing in social media is not the same as venting. Unless you want anyone to see it. Just keep it safe kids. Don't vent about work on social media for veryone to see.

At least getting fired means you get severance pay

What Tesco do you think pays severance? Most people only get severance if they are salaried and not hourly.
