From my experience, in very slow traffic jams the trucks are usually going less than 2mph and have six-to-eight car lengths of space between them. They don't get "cut off" in a traffic jam. Cars just move in to fill empty space no matter what it's in front of. That is the nature of a traffic jam...no empty space.

two wrongs don’t make a right. he could have been rushing his pregnant wife to the hospital or trying to do something else important to him. you being a trucker doesn’t give you the right to enforce the law and do what you want to do to some guy who is obviously trying to get somewhere. plus, the fact that you took out your phone to take a picture while driving doesn’t help your credibility and instead further proves the idea that you’re just an asshole.

Or there might have been another person in the truck?

It's clearly from the left side of the truck. And there's no way that's not the US.

My dad was a trucker. I’m not implying that the photographer works for the same company my dad did, but the rules were that he could not have guests in the car.

Right. One mistake or act of rudeness deserves an hour and a half of pure hell. I hope the next person who judges you has your sense of proportion.

There is literally no good reason to drive dangerously. It's the one thing I do on a regular basis that has a fair chance of killing or maiming me and I'll be god fucking dammed if I'm hurt by a reckless driver.

That is probably illegal. They are all lucky he isn't a gun-toting road rager. They don't deserve to die, but I'd completely understand if he got off with no penalty if he shot them all in the legs or shoulders.

Whether it was frustrating or not it is not their place to teach the other driver a lesson, the roads are dangerous enough. They are frustrated because the car's driving could cause an accident, but they're doing just the same as their reckless behavior can cause an accident as well. You can break-check a tailgater to teach them a lesson, but you're going to feel like shit when it causes an accident where someone gets hurt/killed and your car is wrecked, all because you wanted to teach someone a lesson. Even if someone is driving recklessly, its not worth causing an accident over just to teach them a lesson.

Trapping someone is by no means reckless. If anything, it's the safest thing because the four of you are in superpowered aluminum cages three times the height of what you're trapping. Anything bad that happens is solely the fault of the bitchtit that you've trapped.

It is considered reckless driving for big rigs to trap people on purpose, they can be cited for it. Even if they are just trapping the driver, they are doing this out of agression and its definitely not safe. The driver could get get rear-ended by a big rig or the big rigs could cause other accidents by trying to keep this car in the little box. They should be focusing on driving safely, rather than teaching him a lesson, unless they want to cause an accident themselves.

Cutting off an 18 wheeler is MUCH more dangerous than trapping an impatient driver.

It doesn't matter which is more dangerous, the fact is they are both dangerous and they are both purposely making the roads more dangerous than they have to be. The car should not have cut him off, but they shouldn't have boxed him in out of their own petty road rage. The truckers and the car are all assholes. Just as rosebud said two wrongs don't make a right.

And in this god awful traffic, the truckers have effectively contained a dangerous element. There is literally no good reason to drive dangerously and these truckers have done every other driver a service by not allowing this moron to continue to endanger everyone else. Their trucks can take any sort of impact this small car can dish out and the small car knows it.
