Actually, I beg to differ. Some vegan or vegetarian recipes are incredibly great, but rely on ingredients that we do not use, or at least not on a regular basis, and dare to combine flavors we would not imagine can go well together.
I agree! My cousin is vegan and posts some amazing looking food on fb. They look delicious! I've tried to make some of it and it's not bad, just not my lifestyle. Not hurting anything by trying though!
Quite the contrary, actually. There's practically a vegan substitute for everything, including vegan egg, which can be used in both omelets and cakes (and the cake is reaaallly good too). It all just depends how skilled you are at cooking, honestly.
So is chicken, but people still make it work. The really beauty of cooking is in the spices, herbs, oils, and all sorts of ingredients that marinade and make love to each other in the pot. Sure tofu might be a bit bland, but what's better to create artwork on then a blank canvas?
I agree with geluregis. You can make good vegan food, but if you're going to make vegan, make it vegan. Don't use meat replacements that don't taste like meat or have the texture of meat.
I actually disagree. I am not Vegan at all however my mum is due to cancer, and honestly some of the food she cooks is absolutely delicious and tops most of the non vegan meals I've had! I think it just depends on the chef, not on the ingredients ;)
