That's not true. Lower frequencies require far more headroom than higher frequencies and the tape machines and vinyl pressing technology of the 60s and 70s did not have the bandwidth to allow frequencies below a certain level even though they were within the range of human hearing because the waves are too wide to fit on the physical medium of that era of audio technology. As much as you may or may not like it, dubstep usually has an extremely broad representation of the full range of frequencies within human hearing.
