As a person with social anxiety, it's not quite that simple, though the sentiment is appreciated. Thanks.

I tried that once, and then someone brought up something embarrassing I did in 4th grade

I did get lost in the woods one time ... seriously, I was sitting on the ground, wondering what I was going to do, when I heard some rustling of the leaves on the ground. I looked up and there stood four doe's ... full grown! I was freaking out a little at first, but the one closest to me, came right up to me and put her head down to my face and just was checking me out for a moment, they all circled around me. I realized that I was on a deer trail ... after the deer walked away, I followed the path that they took, and I came out in the other side of the woods, but next to a road that I'd been on before! Those deer, I believe, actually saved me. They came along just at the right time!!! Who believes in miracles? I swear, this is a true story!!!

What really helps is to re-frame the embarrassing event into something proactive. Like, 'that was so embarrassing what I did, but now that it happened I'll know to never do that again.' It helps me with my anxiety.

THIS is soooo me. If I feel like I've made a mistake or if I've said or did something wrong, even if I didn't but felt like I did, it would take days until I can stop thinking about it. The scenarios that goes through my mind about the 'what if'.... it's hectic. keep reminding myself to stop and let go, but still...
