That's actually one of the reasons medieval Christians were " against " gays. Basically any sex where the intent isn't procreation ( even straight sex where it isn't the intent and you prevent its outcome via BC or whatever) was seen as a sin. The only GOOD sex was baby making sex. Masturbation, gay sex, sex for just fun between a man and a woman, all a no no equally. So that's actually a bit of leftover " logic " from then.
