When you realise we're just tiny meat bags on a rock floating in space, you must probably think that anything else is pure void.

When has a passport ever stopped an attack

That's like saying when has an antibiotic stopped an infection. There is no way to quantify what could have been without a precautionary factor that has been in place for so long.

Well if thats the case we are both wrong and we are both right. You cant say it has or hasnt stopped an attack and neither can I.

I mean, your passport can determine which countries you can or can't go into, and if need be they can put a stop to you flying at all, sometimes even inside the country. Its similar to a key in the way that it unlocks the house/ability to board a plain and protects the people inside. Just like someone who doesn't have the key to your house can't get inside ( without force but airports have security, and unless you're rich, your house usually doesn't have more than security cameras)
