I technically used a walkthrough, not because I wanted to cheat the game, but because I didn't have the game yet so I wanted to see what it was like before I bought it

Learning the game before buying it kinda ruins it for me. Especially single player/story driven games.

In Dark Soul's case, I feel like at least learning the basics is good enough. I never got far into the lets play anyway, the furthest he got was the blacksmith
