Don't be afraid to ask for what you want!

Personally, I find it depressing that we assume that a female being successful in the work place, or getting a raise, wouldn't be just a merit to her legitimate hard work.

It's a joke.

I wasn't disputing that, just stating how I felt that we are conditioned to make these kind of assumptions and joke about them.
