In the old Zelda games the player got to name the Hero, so he could conceivably be named Luigi in at least one kid's Legend.

Literally Breath of the Wild is the first Zelda game to not let you name your character (I think so anyways)

I think the one before, Skyward Sword, didn't let you name the character either.

Nah, you were allowed to name your character. I know, because I named my character last time I played
