Russia needed help with just about everything besides manpower and the will to fight. The European war would have gone on a lot longer without aid to the allies. Can't really say that England would have survived, and Russia would have had a great deal more problems with out the Western front being a threat. Germany could have thrown a whole lot more at an ill equipt Russia. Very hard to say how that would have gone. People like to trash talk the United States but out of the worlds super powers, there has never been a kinder, or generous nation to provide world aid. I don't think that the world seas would be too friendly under a Chinese ,Iranian, Russian, north Korean ect, control.
Foreign policy of USA today is a opt different from what it was 60-70 years ago. Credit where credit is due, USA made defeating the Axis powers much as easier. But today, it is one of the greatest threats to world peace. Bombing several different countries as we speak, and has 1000+ military bases around the world, with even Navy ships at Russia's doorstep.
We never gave a damn about peace. Liberty is our love.
Aside from that, the bombings are targeting groups that want to change the world for the worse, this military bases serve to deter aggression and improve our ability to respond to natural disasters and terror attacks, and Russia would conquer Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and keep going until the US managed to stop them.
