Earth is actually .128% water by volume, or 2.26*(10^-5)% water by weight.

Earth is doing damn fine. Jesus Christ. It's had much worse things happen to it such as having 90% of all life dying out, the multiple times it completely froze over, and when another FUCKING PLANET SMASHED INTO IT. It's been around long before we evolved and will be around long after we die out.

True, we are not really capable of destroying earth or all life on it, but we are capable of making this planet uninhabitable for humans, and that will happen sooner or later (probably not within our or our children’s lifespans, but it will happen) if we don’t do anything

That doesn't mean Earth is dying. Our time here is dying but the planet itself isn't.

The hell is the whole "we are capable of making this planet uninhabitable for humans that will happen sooner or later" thing about?

Humans tend not to do well when unable to breathe, or when submerged for extended periods of time

Again, our time is ending but the Earth's time isn't.
