It's a panorama pic. There are some apps to do stuff like this. Basically taking separate photos and it'll automatically stitch them together.

I have an iPhone 4s, and when the iPhone 5 with the new software came out, one could update the 4s so that the software on the 4s is the same as the 5. So the 4s has panorama.
