These are the mangrove lagoons in the Caribbean. The roots of the mangroves filter the water making it clear. These cuties are called casiopia jellyfish because they sleep upside down with their tentacles going up...like the Greek legend of Casiopia who was make into an upside down constellation. Getting stung by them might make you itchy or uncomfortable but they're not dangerous
I remember in the weekend before the hurricane, I was in guilligan island( a cays with mangrove in the south of my island) there were a dozen of jellyfish and hundred of fishes. It was they knew what was about to happened, it was so bizarre. I visited frequently the cays and have never see so many jellies and fishies.
