I'm an American and yes, I think there are a lot of things wrong with this country. Do I bash it? No. Will I stand up for it? It depends on the argument. But I know I will never bash on another country and mean it, nor be rude to anyone who isn't American. I judge people based on themselves, not where they are from. Some 'Murica posts are funny, but it stops being funny when people start to believe it and see all Americans that way.
There are the coasts. New York, California, Florida, Seattle. These places and other states around them are progressive and have millions of people living in them. But then theres an entire middle of the country full of conservatives, religious republicans that give the rest of the country a bad name. Not to mention the racism that still exists in many places in the south. Half our country sucks ill give you that, but theres ALOT of us that arent like this.
As an American, I admit this to you. I generally want to cover all of classmates mouths with duct tape. And we aren't actually fat for the majority, it just most people who aren't fat are anorexic looking (I'm practically the only medium sized person in my entire school). The rest of the stuff about abnoxious and rude... I have no defense for us.
