I know it sounds obvious or stupid but positive thinking can restructure your perspective and mental well-being. You don't have to counter or interrupt these negative thoughts but if you try and lessen them it helps. Rather than countering them with questions, insert some happy-little-somethings in there like, "That streak of sunlight from my window looks lovely" or "I like that person's hair". Seek happiness from little achievements and observations, life becomes a lot easier to enjoy.
